| Jason P. Smith is a commercial, editorial and advertising photographer, specializing in environmental portraits. Located in Maine, just north of Portland, he is available for assignments throughout Maine, Boston and beyond. He has worked with a variety of commerical and ediitorial clients, including the New York Times, Frommer's, AJN, FOCUS, CSO, Amgen, Down East Magazine, Florida Trend Magazine, College of the Atlantic and several others. His commercial work includes work in the health care industry, shooting annual reports for hospitals and working on capital campaigns to help generate funding for facility improvments and patient care. His work in the health care industry has taken him from working wtih flight nurses transporting patients in helicopters , ambulances and fixed wing aircraft to operating rooms, pediatric cancer units and executive boardrooms. Starting out in Colorado, Jason earned his MA in Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder and spent most of his time working for newspapers along the Front Range, shooting everyithing from rodeos and professional sports to portraits of community leaders. For the last several semesters, Jason has also worked as an adjunct instructor at a Maine college, teaching an advanced lighting and photography course. Photo: Peter Yang |
